New Project

I’ve finally found a new knitting project that I can get excited about!  I’m going to make this next. The Sheherazade Beaded Lace Shawl, by Anna Victoria. Intricate lace – YES PLEASE! With beads, too – DOUBLE YES!  🙂   I’m so excited!!

I have a lace shawl on the needles already, but it’s pretty ‘plain’ knitting, so it’s been really boring for me.  I’m just not excited about it, much as I love the color and I’m sure it will be pretty when I’m done.

So, this will go into hibernation (once I mark on my pattern where I left off!!) And the new lace shawl will get cast on!

I have the yarn for it, I just need to decide which beads to use. I ordered two different colors because I couldn’t decide. I still can’t decide!!! Help!! Which do you like best?

So, let me know in the comments which one you like best!  I’m going to bring them to my knitting group tonight too, so my knitting peeps can have a look in  person to give me their opinions.  🙂  Then (if I can make a decision) I’ll cast on tonight at knit night!!! Yay!!

I also have some Jacob wool I’m spinning up – I am really happy with how that’s going! I’m almost done with the single, then I’m going to navajo ply it once it’s done.

I’ve never spun up Jacob before – it’s been a dream to spin! I love it. This will probably end up a heavy fingering weight. I hope I end up with enough yardage to do something neat with it.

Anyhow, that’s what I have going on at this moment. Still waiting (not so patiently) for my Master Knitter level 3 box to come back to me.  I have maybe 6-8 more weeks to wait…  🙂

Happy Knitting everyone!!

  1. My initial answer was pink. Upon seeing these pictures, I switched to gold. You do have your Faberge to cover those Wicked ‘Pink goes good with Green’ moments, while you don’t really have green and gold. Of course, this is an entirely different animal from the Faberge.

  2. I think it depends on what you’re looking for. The pink will be more subtle and the gold more vibrant. I’d go for the gold!
