Teaching

Spring is around the corner

The weather here is beautiful today.  I cannot wait for Spring!

I just thought I’d pop in to touch base!  I’m still prepping for the classes I’ll be teaching at the Carolina Fiber Frolic.  And there’s still room for more folks at the retreat, if you’re interested!  All the registration details are at Carolina Fiber Frolic.  Only a couple more weeks to go!  I’m getting very excited!

Learn to Knit Fair Isle!!

Oh – I’ve started my very own Ravelry group!  It’s Heather Storta Designs.  Go over there and join it if you want!  We’ll be discussing knitting, tips and tricks, and my patterns, among other knitting-related topics.  I’ll post about test knitting there as well (when I’m ready with a pattern to test knit.)  I hope to have a scarf pattern ready for test knitting sometime in the next couple of months.   The two design submission calls I submitted to were rejected, but the one idea I really liked – so that will go into my self-publication queue. 🙂

Let’s see, what else….  Registration for the Knit and Crochet Show should open up any day now!  That will be in Charleston, SC:  July 13-16.  Master’s Day on Wednesday is shaping up to be a great day, and I’m really excited to be teaching a few classes on Thursday and Friday as well.

That’s about it.  I don’t have any ‘real’ knitting to show you this week – I did start two new pairs of socks (just plain ones), but they’re in their infancy.  I should have something substantial to show you next time!

Until then, Happy Knitting!!
