There’s a bit more done on the shawl this week:
I’m almost done with repeat #7. I guess there’s only a little bit more done on it, after all! I’m dividing my knitting time between about 3 or 4 projects, so each one is going slowly! I need to pick just one and work on it till it’s done, I think — but I get bored too easily so that probably won’t happen anytime soon!
I’m almost done with my sweater design sample/prototype.  I’ve started writing the pattern in earnest today – I’ve been keeping notes as I’ve been knitting, so that will help, but this is my first pattern where I need to grade for different sizes, so I’m a bit nervous about that. Especially since my sweater is of a slightly unusual construction, so the grading is going to be more tricky than normal. (Of course I jump right into a difficult sweater design! No starting off easy for me, oh no! ::snerk::)  Not sure how long it will take me to write up the pattern, plus I’m going to have it tech edited and possibly even test knitted, so it’ll be a while before I’ll have anything to show you guys. On a related note – I have three coordinating designs sketched out, and the yarn is ordered for one of them, so I’m going forward with a pattern ‘collection’ for these! Not sure if I will wait until they are all done and release all 4 at once, or if I’ll release them as I finish them. We’ll see how it goes. 🙂
That’s all for this week! Maybe I’ll have more than one thing to show you next week!!
Oh, and go check out some other WiP blog posts over here.
Happy Knitting!!
Can’t wait for the sweater pattern… fairly sure Larissa will be interested in that one!
It’s looking really nice, too involved for me…but maybe someday I’ll work up towards it.
Thanks! It’s not too terribly hard, you just have to really pay attention while knitting!
Wow, how exciting to be writing up a sweater pattern! Good luck!
The shawl is beautiful. I love how elegant it is.
Thanks Tami! I’m excited yet a bit scared at the same time! The grading is going to be the really difficult part.
