Sorry I haven’t posted in almost 2 weeks! My grandmother passed away on the 5th, and we drove up to Michigan for the funeral this last weekend, so I’ve been swamped and the blog was the last thing on my mind during this whole time. I’m sure you all understand.
Our drive to and from Michigan was a good 12 hours each way, so I got a bit of knitting done during the trip, although a bit less than I would have expected, since I also really didn’t feel like knitting much of the trip. But here’s what I was working on:
This is the Queen Sylvia shawl from Knitted Lace of Estonia. I pulled this out of hibernation after finishing my Camp Loopy shawl, and I’m now on repeat #13 (out of 20). Slowly but surely this is getting larger!
Socks for DS#2. I finished the socks for my first son (I’ll show you those on Friday) and now I’m finishing up the pair I had started for my second son. I’m to the heel, so hopefully he’ll have a finished pair very soon! (Oh, and it’s one of my designs – available on Ravelry.)
And one more pair of socks were started the other day – this is a new one of my own design, so you won’t see much more of this one until it’s done. The first prototype is done, and this will be a test knit as I write out the pattern, so I hope to have the pattern done in the very near future.
Anyway, that’s a quick post to show you what I’ve been working on lately! I hope to get back into the swing of blogging here soon!

Thank you for the lace love and the condolances. Yes, wonderful memories to remember her by – she had a full and long life of 89 years. 🙂

Beautiful knitting but so sorry to hear about your grandmother. Mine passed more than a decade ago and not a day goes by where I don’t think of her. ((((hugs))))
