I finished my Catkin! I’m really happy with it – now I can’t wait until Fall so I can wear it!
Pattern: Catkin by Carina Spencer
Yarn: Dream in Color Smooshy in color Gothic Rose, and Enchanted Knoll Farm Superwash Sock in color Gold Dust Woman.
Needles: US 4
Started: June 15, 2011
Finished: July 2, 2011
Modifications: None! Well, except I did a 2 stitch picot bind off for the edge. The stitch count was a # divisible by 5, so I alternated 2 and 3 stitches between the picots. Turned out nicely, I think – even though the bind off took me HOURS to finish.
This is such a versatile knit – you can wear it as a cape with the buttons in front, or as a stylish wrap with the buttons on the side, or even as a scarf with only a couple buttons fastened. I’m hoping I’ll get enough wear out of the unusual-for-me colors. 🙂
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July yesterday!
Happy Knitting!!
Its beautiful, and you whipped it out super fast!
This just turned out so beautiful! Lovely job!
Thank you!
