I have a couple FOs to show you today. Â Firstly, I finished my Celestarium!!
Pattern: Celestarium by Audry Nicklin
Yarn: Dream in Color Everlasting Sock in color ‘Nebula’
Needles: size US 5
Started: February 15, 2013
Finished: March 28, 2013
Modifications: I made many, including using different beads for different stars, adding in more stars, and doing a different edging. Â (I have detailed notes on my project page at Ravelry – including a chart of the edging I used.)
I did larger, size 4 beads (silver lined clear) for the higher magnitude stars, and used red/orange silver lined beads for the red supergiants as well. Â The ‘extra’ stars that I added in were represented by pale blue silver lined beads (and no paired yarnover for those stars.) Â I used all three beads in my edging, plus some dark blue prior to starting the edging, to set the edging off from the rest of the shawl.
I LOVE it!! Â It is very heavy and warm – and blocked out to about 58 inches across. Â It’s HUGE!
My second FO to show you guys is even bigger.
I PASSED my Master Knitter Level 2 work! Yay!!!!!!!!
I’ve already ordered the Level 3 materials, and I’ll start on it soon. 🙂
So, those are my recent FOs. Â Check out Tami’s Amis for some more Friday FOs!
So amazing! I exist in awe of you.
