I have lots in progress this week!
First, I got my shipment of fleece back from the processor -(Fleury Sheep and Wool – they are AWESOME! I highly recommend them if you need fiber processed) – and I now have no reason to say that I don’t have enough wool to spin. o.O
My corriedale fleece that I bought at SAFF last year turned out beautifully – and I have about 5 pounds of it, so there’s lots there to make sweaters and socks and whatever I want!
I’m still spinning up what I showed you briefly a couple Wednesdays ago, but I thought I should show you how I prepped the fiber to spin it. I want to do a two-ply with the color gradient in this braid maintained. So I split the braid into the desired color runs.
And now I’m spinning up the single, staying with the one color before moving on to the next, so I end up with a fairly even gradient of color.
I’m about halfway done with the second bobbin – I’m hoping the two singles line up fairly well, so that it turns out how I want!
I’m also still working on my Faberge shawl:
AND, I started on my Master Knitter Level 3 work:
I decided to go with the ‘hard’ swatch first – I’ve never done double knitting before, so I’m working through a learning curve. This will most certainly NOT be submission worthy, but I’m improving as I go, so hopefully swatch #2 or more likely #3 will be a good one. 🙂
That’s what I have this week, check out Tami’s Amis for more WiPs!
And Happy Knitting!!
