I saw one of these in person at Unwind (a couple of the door prizes were these neat things), and I decided I had to have one of my own.
These are the ‘Magnetic Knitter’s Necklace Kit’ – designed by Nancy Shroyer of Nancy’s Knit Knacks, and they are made by Knitter’s Pride. You can get them from Nancy’s site now, and they will be available later from other sites as well I believe.
You get this very gift-able package:
And inside is the adjustable necklace – the cord is faux leather (I think) and the medallion is wood grained and very pretty. BUT it hides a magnet!
You also get a lovely zippered case, a set of cable needles, and stitch markers. All of these stick to the magnet in the necklace. I tested out my tapestry needles and they stick as well. How cool is that?!
Now I’ll not have to hold the cable needle in my hair or my mouth while working cable rows – I can just slap it on my pretty necklace to hold it till I need it again!
I love it, and can’t wait to use it!
I just popped in to tell you about this cool gadget! Stay tuned and I’ll post again later this week with a knitting update.
Until next time, Happy Knitting!!
