Hi all!
I finished my squishy socks during Unwind, but never posted a photo of them done! Here they are blocking:
Pattern is well on its way to being done, so expect it to be published soon.
I am also re-working my Playbook Sweater Vest with a non-discontinued yarn, and will be revising the pattern along with it. I’m almost done with the front:
This time I am making the large, to fit my youngest son – who actually modeled the previous (small) version too, so the photos should be a neat then vs. now kind of thing once I get to the photo-taking-for-pattern stage. 🙂
I started on a pair of plain socks using my String Theory Colorworks ‘hippocampus’ colorway, these are so fun – I love them.
And my Vitamin D cardi keeps sitting in the corner whining. I have yet to cast it on. I hope to soon, though, because I really want to work with this linen lace yarn from Claudia Handpaints!
My two recent sub call submissions to one publisher were rejected, but one of my submissions to Cast On was accepted (another pair of socks! I love socks) 🙂 so I won’t be as busy with designing over the next couple of months as I thought I would be, which is actually fine. No, more like good! I’ve just been appointed as a TKGA MHK Co-Chair, so I think I will be a bit busier with committee business in the future! 😀
My one design idea that was rejected is a nice one I think (an Aran sweater), so I may try to get the bulk of the math figured out and the pattern bare-bones written so I can submit it to the next Cast On call – I think it would fit really well there, but we’ll see. And I have a Fair Isle sweater pattern brewing in my head too…. So many ideas, not enough time!
Oh, and if you are in the area (Charlotte, NC area) and want to take a sock class – my May Day Flowers socks class starts at Cheers to Ewe in Huntersville, NC tomorrow! Come join me, it’s not too late to sign up!
Anyway, that is it from me for today! I’ll pop in again next week sometime. I’d love to hear about what you have on the needles!
Until next time, Happy Knitting!!
Congratulations, Heather, on becoming a TKGA Co-Chair – well deserved!
Thank you so much Susan! 🙂 I’m excited!
