Seaming Series: Using a slip knot versus Not using a slip knot

Today I’m posting a tutorial video that was a request from a student (a while ago, so I apologize for my delay in filming this!) She asked me to show the difference between starting seams when you’ve used a slip knot versus when you haven’t used a slip knot for the long tail cast on.

I love starting my long tail cast on without a slip knot because it is faster for me. BUT, when it’s time to seam, it can be trickier to see where to place the needle to start your figure 8. Hopefully this video will be helpful to see the difference and to spot where to place your needle!

Until next time, Happy Knitting!
