Today I have a video showing you some twisted decreases. These are used any time you want to maintain a line of twisted stitches – so in Bavarian twisted stitch work and similar. They can often be found in lace knitting as well.10
The key with these is that both stitches involved in the decrease need to be twisted – not just one of them.
K2togtbl: Knit two together through the back loops. Single decrease, leans left.
Twisted ssk: Slip two sts, one at a time, knitwise. Knit them together through the front loops. Single decrease, leans right.
P2togtbl: Purl two together through the back loops. Single decrease, leans left.
Twisted ssp: Slip two sts, one at a time, knitwise. Purl them together through the front loops. Single decrease, leans right.
I hope the above video is helpful!
Until next time, Happy Knitting!
