Today is the first video in my Sock September series! We’re talking about choosing a sock yarn in today’s video:
The main things to look for are fiber content (ideally there is a percentage of reinforcing fiber like nylon, mohair, or silk), number of plies, and twist.
(After looking at the obvious things like color, yardage, and price, of course!)
If you fall in love with a 100% wool yarn and you want to use it for socks, you can always carry a reinforcing strand along with the sock yarn in places like the toe and the heel.
I hope this was helpful!!
Stay tuned on Monday for the next video and post in the series! Until then, Happy Knitting!!
