TKGA 2016 Day 2 Recap

Hi again!! (I’m now able to post from my laptop – yay!)
Today was day two here in Charleston, and what a busy day it was!  I taught ‘A Sampling of Short Rows’ in the morning, and then ‘Decorative Cast Ons and Bind Offs’ in the afternoon.  My students were great and I had a wonderful time teaching!

Then this evening we had a cocktail reception to celebrate the newest Master Knitters and see them get their pins and be able to see their wonderful sweaters.  What a fantastic evening!  All the sweaters were stunning – it’s really lovely to be able to celebrate their accomplishment.

After the reception, the Marketplace opened for the Thursday night ‘preview’.  It’s a smallish market, but there are so many great vendors there!  (I made a couple of purchases, of course – how can you help yourself?? Pictures will come – tomorrow maybe.)  I know for sure I will be making a few more purchases over the next couple days – I just have to mull over what colors I want… 🙂  The beads at the one vendor (I’ll find out the name and post it tomorrow) are breathtaking – I have a friend (you know who you are!) who would be in hog heaven in the bead booth!!

I’m calling it a night tonight, but I promise to post some more pictures tomorrow (internet is SO slow here, so uploading is a chore – but I will post  few!)

Happy Knitting, and I’ll check in with you again tomorrow!
