Hi everyone!
Carolina Fiber Fest is coming up in a week! Who’s coming? I’m teaching ‘A Sampling of Short Rows’ and ‘Finishing School’ – both on Saturday. My short row class is one where we learn a ton of different techniques to perform short rows. It’s a pretty fun class! And Finishing School is a new class of mine where we learn a few different basic seaming techniques. It should be a fun class as well! Register here for classes – I hope you see you there!
I also have another new class I’m teaching locally at Baskets Of Yarn – ‘Sweater Basics’. It’ll be on April 22 and May 6. In this class we’ll knit a small teddy bear sweater to learn the basics of knitting sweaters! You’ll learn the importance of gauge, basic sweater shapes, how to follow a sweater pattern, and finally – how to seam your sweater! I’m just finishing up the sweater sample now, so I’ll post a photo of it next week once I have it all done – it’s super cute! You can register for this class here.
As soon as I get the sample sweater done I have to get started on my next design to be published in the Summer issue of Cast On – I just got the yarn today and I have about a month to get it done (a lace shawl) – so I’m going to be one busy knitter here the next few weeks! 🙂
Until next time, Happy Knitting! (And Happy St. Patrick’s Day!) 🙂
