Flare and Square Scarf

scarf-cropIntroducing my next new pattern: Flare and Square!

Flare and Square is a scarf (in two sizes) designed to stay put over or under a coat.

Knit with A Hundred Ravens Aesir yarn, this scarf is super soft and cozy!

This stylish and unusual scarf is easier to knit than it looks!  The ‘flare’ is created by a simple and easy to memorize lace pattern that leads into ribbing for the body of the scarf.  Simple short rows are used to create a ‘square’ neckline at the top, and the ‘flare’ is then repeated in reverse at the end.

Don’t let winter winds leave you chilled— beat those winter winds ‘Flare and Square’!

Summer Wanes Hat and Cowl

Hi again!  Here’s something I’m really excited about–

The newest Knit Picks pattern book is out:  Creative Color: 2016 Fair Isle Collection.  And I have a pattern in it!!  Meet my ‘Summer Wanes’ Hat and Cowl set:

I’m super happy with how this one turned out!!  The hat and cowl were inspired by Autumnal colors in the mountains of NC.  The hat starts off with corrugated ribbing and features the main leaf motif.  The cowl starts and ends with a garter edge, and has vine borders framing the main leaf motif.  I had a ton of fun designing this one!

I hope you like it! 🙂

Noctilucent Shawl

Hi again!

Have you gotten the newest issue of Knitscene?  Well, you should!  It’s a fantastic issue!  But, on top of that – I have a pattern in it!!

Check out my ‘Noctilucent Shawl’ on page 49.

It’s a bottom up 2 color shawl.  Shawl begins with a ruffled bottom, and then moves into 2 different slipped stitch patterns.  I’m super happy with how it turned out, and it’s a fun knit!  I hope you like it!

Turritella Socks

I’m pleased to announce that my May 2015 Rockin’ Sock Club pattern is now available for purchase!

DSC05051edit2These are my Turritella Socks. They were inspired by the tightly coiled cone-shaped shells of the Turritella genus of sea snails. The spiral lace pattern on these socks has a very tight bias which twists down the leg.

They are knit cuff down, and the lace pattern is not too complicated!  Charts and written directions are included.

I had lots of fun designing these, so I’m glad to finally be able to offer them to the public.

I hope you enjoy knitting them!

Happy Knitting!
