I haven’t gotten any knitting in yet today – laundry and grocery shopping had to be done (why does life have to get in the way of knitting??) – but I’m about to pick my sweater up for a little bit in a moment.
Here’s where I left off last night:
I didn’t get as much done last night as I could have, because I kept having to stop to watch the Olympic events! The events last night (well, yesterday – but we watched in prime time) were fantastic! The USA Gymnastics team did so well – they were phenomenal! And it was wonderful to see Michael Phelps win his 19th Olympic medal and become the most decorated Olympian ever.
I’ve been craving ‘British’ food since the Olympics started, so yesterday for dinner I made Cumberland Pie and Yorkshire puddings.
Everything was so yummy! (The boys didn’t like it, but they typically don’t like beef stew. Their loss – it just left more for hubby and me!) Â In the coming days I’m planning on making bangers and mash, and fish and chips, plus an afternoon tea with cucumber sandwiches and scones.
I’d better wrap up here so I can get a few rows in before the laundry needs switching over and dinner needs to be thought about!
Happy Knitting! Â And keep it up Team USA!!
Whad a great progress – your colourwork is so impressive, I’m quite jealous! :-0
🙂 Thank you!!
Your colorwork is amazing. You are really talented.
::blush:: Thank you so much!
Wow that’s going to be an awesome sweater! I’ve had fresh yorkshire pudding only when my British Grandma was alive.. so I’m tempted to try the recipe that you linked to. This is my first time commenting here, but I love meeting knitting designers so I’ll be back!
🙂 Thanks!
Oooh, you should try the recipe – it was super easy!! And thanks so much for stopping by!
We had Shepherd’s Pie and Fairy Cakes during the opening ceremonies. Gosh, the leftovers are wonderful! And, no need to stop knitting to cook!!!!!
