Patterns Released, Teaching

Mystic Song vest and Graphite Socks

Hello all!  Still plugging away here – mostly prepping for my classes this July – although I just finished up a pattern that will be released in the winter.  And I’ve got my eyes on a couple of sub calls that have deadlines later in June – may have to submit something for one or two of those, we’ll see. 😉

Speaking of July – there’s still room in all my classes at the TKGA conference!  And I’m sure there’s room in many of the other classes on offer as well.  Register here.  I’d love to see you in Charleston! 🙂

Keep your eyes peeled in the next month or two – I’ll be having a couple big patterns coming out soon (remember how busy I was over the holidays?)  I can’t wait for you to see them – I’m really happy with how they turned out.

I did have a pattern out in the latest issue of Cast On magazine – my Mystic Song Vest.  This was a fun knit.

The yarn is Shibui Knits Twig – a linen silk blend –  and it was very nice to work with.  The drape on the vest is incredible – a little of the yarn goes a long way with this lace pattern.

The vest is knit sideways, with short rows to add width to the front and back hem.  The only seams are at the shoulders.  It’s designed to be a layering piece and to be oversized to flow and swing.

I also just released my Graphite Socks in my Ravelry pattern store!  These were first released last year in Cast On magazine.  They’re a fun two color slip stitch pattern, with an afterthought heel – toe up.

That’s all I have for now – I’ll be sure to post when my upcoming patterns are released! (I can’t wait!)

Until then, Happy Knitting!!
